The MatchUp is an original podcast I created, host, and produce for St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Winston-Salem with sound editing by Chris Martin from Chris James Media. Each episode brings biblical storytelling to life through friendly competition and theological imagination. I introduce a provocative topic—like “Most Dysfunctional Family in the Bible”—and invite two guests to make their case. Listeners then vote on who told the most compelling story, turning each episode into an interactive, community-building experience.

As creator and host, I lead every aspect of the show, from concept development and recording to visual promotion and digital distribution. I also oversee social media engagement and analytics, building a loyal and growing audience across platforms.

The podcast has received a positive recognition, earning Best Podcast at the Episcopal Communicators Polly Bond Awards in 2024 and another award in 2025. The podcast is celebrated for its originality, humor, theological depth, and storytelling craft.
